2011 has been a year full of celebrity scandals, many of which have been false but so much truth shockingly came out this year also. Which of these paternity claims are true? Which are complete lies?
Let’s count down the 7 craziest paternity scandals of 2011:
7) Don Francisco
TV personality Mario Kreutzberger, also known as Don Francisco, was ordered to take a DNA paternity test earlier this year by the Chilean court. Francisco was forced to undergo a DNA test after Patricio Flores Mundaca filed a paternity suit against Francisco to determine whether or not he is the biological father of the 43 year old. The DNA test proved that Francisco was not Mundaca’s father.
6) Steven Soderbergh
Creator of Ocean’s Eleven, Steven Soderbergh, found himself in the middle of a love triangle this year when the “other” woman in his life, Frances Lawrencina Anderson, claimed that Soderbergh fathered her daughter. A paternity test proved that this claim was in fact true.
5) Arnold Schwarzenegger
Former California Governor, actor and bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger found himself in the middle of a scandal this year when rumors of his infidelity began surfacing. Well, this rumor proved to be true. Arnold announced that he fathered an illegitimate child with his housekeeper over 10 years ago.
Talk about scandalous!
4) January Jones
Popular actress, January Jones, gave birth to a son, Xander Dane Jones, earlier this year…but the world is still clueless as to who the father is! Rumors are floating about who the dad could be: X-Men director, Matthew Vaughn, SNL star, Jason Sudeikis, or celebrity chef, Bobby Flay are just a few possibilities. January Jones, however, is determined to keep the paternity a secret. Xander’s birth certificate proves this, with the “father” section left completely blank.
3) Jay-Z
Ever since Beyonce announced her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards, reports of Jay-z fathering a love child nine years ago have been circulating the globe. Video model, Shennelle Scott, was sleeping with Jay-Z at the time she got pregnant and sources say she was paid a hefty sum to “keep her mouth shut”.
Since the rapper has yet to take a DNA test, paternity between Jay-Z and Shenelle Scott’s son is still unconfirmed.
2) Pregnant Man gives birth to his third child
Thomas Beatie, a former beauty queen known as Tracy LaGondino, underwent a sex change but chose to keep his female reproductive organs intact. Well, 2011 marks the year this pregnant man gave birth to his third child in this bizarre paternity story.
1) Justin Bieber
The most talked about paternity case of the year involves rumors of teen pop-star, Justin Bieber, losing his virginity to fan, Mariah Yeater, after a concert. Bieber absolutely denies the claim, saying he never even met Yeater, and already took a paternity test to prove he is not the father. However, the drama continues since Yeater’s lawyers were not present during the DNA test, she wants Bieber to take another to make sure the proper DNA testing procedure and protocols are followed.
Yeater has since dropped the lawsuit, but not her claim, still insisting that Justin Bieber is the father of her son. I guess a DNA Paternity test in 2012 will have to resolve this one.

In 2011, DNA testing performed by GTL DNA proved that Oprah Winfrey has a secret half-sister she never knew about!
