DNA testing has become highly sought after in the last few years, whether it may to determine the Father of your born or unborn child, to find a missing relative, to find your biological mother, or even to solve a murder investigation. A paternity DNA test changed the world for Sarah Daniels and her son who were clueless as to who the dad was for over 23 years. The rekindling of their teenage relationship due a successful paternity DNA test was unpredicted.dna reunites couple m A Teenage Romance Revived After 23 Years, Thanks To A Paternity DNA Test!

Sarah Daniels at the age of 42 realized that the man she had originally thought was her son’s father, that fled once the child was born; 23 years ago. It wasn’t until recently when she ran into him again and realized that there was no resemblance. Sarah was confused and wasn’t sure who her son’s father was or how she would find out.

After a while she remembered Roy Cook with whom she had a short romance about 23 years ago before she even realized that she was pregnant. She acquired a DNA Paternity test kit and showed up at Roy’s door in January 2010. Roy was ecstatic to see her and took the test with any trouble. Once the results of the DNA test were analyzed, they confirmed that he indeed was the father.

Sarah’s first impression of seeing Roy open the door, reminded her of how much her son and Roy had looked alike. When she found out the good news she was overwhelmed but yet realized that she could finally relax because she had proof that Roy was the father and Danny, her son, would have someone to call “Dad.” Within a few weeks, Danny and Roy met and they shared a passion that made them seem as if they knew each other for years. Danny even called Roy “Dad”. Roy still had feelings for Sarah, so he proposed to her and as of December 29, 2010, they are engaged, with a long awaited marriage in their future. A DNA test can do more than just give you answers; it can change your life as it did for this family.

Eddie Murphy, a well known actor, and celebrity known in movies for his comedy and entertaining character. Eddie Murphy, himself has had eight children, one of which he did not want to say was his. From these eight children, he had five with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, and the other three with other women. Paternity testing is very affordable so reasons as to why Eddie Murphy originally didn’t want to take the test are not mentioned often.

In 2007, there was a case in which Melanie Brown, Scary Spice from the Spice Girls claimed that her daughter Iris was Eddie Murphy’s. Like many other cases brought upon celebrities, celebrities would never consent to a child being there’s without a paternity DNA test to confirm. Melanie Brown and Eddie Murphy did date but it was very brief so nothing was thought of it. In this case, they were both popular celebrities so it wasn’t some random individual trying to claim her baby’s dad was a highly successful celebrity to receive child support.Eddie Murphys Children 258x300 Shocking Paternity Test of the Month: Eddie Murphy has 8 Children!

In June of 2007, Eddie Murphy submitted to a DNA test that confirmed that he was the father of Ms. Brown’s baby called Angel Iris who had been born in April. Murphy being a fine person, paid for the pregnancy expenses and child support to help Ms. Brown. At first Eddie Murphy did doubt that it was his daughter and had refused for a while on not taking the Paternity test. Ironically, Iris was born on Murphy’s birthday which may have further intrigued him to have a DNA test in order to find out the truth. Yet, it was not until Ms. Brown filed suit against Murphy that he actually made the initiative.

In reality all that matters is that he actually made the move unlike many others have done. A paternity DNA test offers a 99.99% accuracy rate that helps pregnant women determine who the true father of their baby is. Just make sure that you use an accredited laboratory that has a long standing positive reputation.

Giving birth is an exciting time for parents. It’s always interesting to guess what the baby will look like and which parent’s genes will dominate in the baby’s genetic make-up.  Some dominant genes, like brown eyes, increase the odds that a couple will reproduce a baby with darker eyes; however one couple residing in London, England experienced a surprise that far surpasses finding out your baby’s eye color is not what you expected.

Black family white baby Genetics is not so Black and White – is it?

How is this possible?

Ben and Angela Ihegboro, a Nigerian couple living in London, gave birth to a baby girl this year.  Little Nmachi is a beautiful baby, but this infant, unlike her sibling stands out (ironically) as the black sheep of her family. Nmachi was born to her black family with blonde hair, blue eyes and very light skin.  Doctors are weighing out three possibilities for Nmachi’s shocking genetic makeup.

  • Dormant, dominant Caucasian genes from a long ago interracial offspring
  • A genetic mutation
  • Albinism, which is common in parts of Africa

Although any of the above three are possible, doctors seem to be focusing on Albinism predominantly as its statistics show that it is actually common in Nmachi’s parents native continent.  If Nmachi has Albinism, she will have potential vision problems and will experience extreme sensitivity towards the sun; two very common effects of the rare disease. Luckily, Nmachi and her family reside in London, so opposed to the abundance of sun she would have experienced in Africa, she should be a bit safer as London doesn’t see many sunny days.

If Albinism is weighed out or if Nmachi’s parents want to search for the link in their family’s DNA, there is always DNA testing. Comprehensive DNA testing can help the Ihegboro’s figure out where the link in their family tree perhaps reveals a similar case. Digging deep into family history may not be easy, but it sure is useful in helping to discover your origins and perhaps in helping reveal family information that can help answer troubling or perplexed questions like the one surrounding Nmachi’s incredible story.

The Origins of DNA

DNA is such a fascinating and complex topic.  As important as DNA is, I find it interesting that its know-abouts have only been around since the late 19th century; however, since that time there certainly has been an increasing amount of discoveries since Johann Friedrich Miescher identified the unknown substance of what would later be known as, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

Since DNA’s discovery science has been able to manipulate DNA in order to help people figure out their filial relationships, identify a deceased unknown person, track predisposed conditions for health prevention and probably the most popular, to determine a parent child relationships through DNA paternity testing.

Do you have questions about DNA testing?

Imagine a time when DNA was completely unknown to our world and now it’s contributing to such above named advanced testing.

Here is timeline of DNA Milestones:

  • 1869 Johann Friedrich Miescher identifies an acidic substance in the nucleiu of human white blood cells. What was this? DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid).
  • 1912 The beginning stages of DNA’s structure are identified by a father and son physicists.
  • 1928 British medical officer, Franklin Griffith discovers the role that heat plays in DNA transformation.  This lead to the discovery that genetic material is a heat-stable chemical.
  • 1944 The transformation discovery by Griffith is identified by his colleagues as DNA.  Their discovery, however lead to many skeptics of this “too simple” of a molecule.
  • 1949 Biochemist, Erwin Chargaff’s research proves that DNA is specific to species.
  • 1953 James Watson and Francis Crick discover DNA structure.
  • 1962 Crick, Watson and Wilkins receive the Nobel Prize for determining the structure of DNA, only after nearly one hundred years and much skepticism.

DNA testing has been used as an accurate strategy to help unite mothers, daughters, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and other relatives all over the world for years now. However, DNA testing can also be held responsible for helping uncover darker things, such as secret affairs through Infidelity DNA testing and love children through Paternity DNA testing- such as in the case revolving around Beyonce’s father, Matthew Knowles and his mistress, Alexsandra Wright.Beyonces Dad and Step Brother DNA Test 300x163 DNA Test Proves that Beyonce has a Step Brother, thanks to Matthew Knowles Scandalous Affair!

Although the pop sensations parents have been married since 1980, earlier this year Beyonce’s father was asked to take a DNA test by his mistress of 18 months. Alexsandra Wright, the mistress that allegedly gave birth to Mathew Knowles’ love child came forward to request that he take a DNA Paternity test to prove that her beliefs were right and the child was, in fact, Matthew Knowles’ son.

Paternity tests are designed to map the genetic pattern and makeup of both the assumed father and the child. When the genetic patterns match, it proves that the child inherited the genes of the father in question. This highly scientific and accurate DNA testing method helped confirm that Beyonce does indeed have a step-brother, thanks to her father’s scandalous affair. According to TMZ, “Beyonce Knowles is officially a big sister again. A DNA test has confirmed that Mathew Knowles is the father of Alexsandra Wright’s brand new baby boy”.

Ms. Wright had no doubt that the result of the DNA test would prove that Knowles was the father, but she made sure to request a legally binding DNA test to ensure that he would be providing child support for their son, Nixon, as well as any other legal responsibilities that may arise.
